InSolare Energy - Manager - Environmental & Regulatory

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Environmental & Regulatory Manager to lead and oversee our organization's environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory obligations.

The role requires a strong understanding of environmental laws, industry-specific regulations, and sustainable practices, as well as the ability to strategically manage compliance programs, stakeholder engagement, and risk assessments.

You will serve as the primary point of contact with regulatory agencies, ensure adherence to all applicable environmental laws and standards, and drive initiatives to minimize the company's ecological footprint while supporting long-term business The responsibilities include ensuring compliance with local, state, national, and international environmental regulations; monitoring and interpreting changes in environmental laws, regulations, and policies; developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance programs, policies, and procedures; preparing and submitting regulatory filings, permits, licenses, and reports; and representing the company during regulatory inspections, audits, and stakeholder engagements.

• You will be expected to develop and implement strategies to minimize environmental impact through waste management, pollution control, energy conservation, and resource optimization.
• This includes leading environmental impact assessments, ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety standards, and championing sustainability initiatives such as carbon reduction, water efficiency, renewable energy adoption, and circular economy practices.
• Establishing and tracking environmental KPIs and sustainability metrics in line with corporate ESG goals is also a key responsibility.
• The role involves conducting regular environmental audits, risk assessments, and site inspections, identifying non-compliance issues, and developing corrective and preventive action plans.
• You will collaborate with operations, engineering, and legal teams to mitigate environmental risks.
• Strong stakeholder engagement is essential, including building relationships with regulators, government agencies, industry bodies, and community stakeholders.
• You will provide training and awareness programs to employees, enhancing environmental responsibility across the organization, and act as the subject matter expert on environmental regulations and sustainability.
• You will contribute to long-term strategies, including climate risk adaptation and green innovation, support the integration of sustainable practices into business planning and operations, and work cross-functionally with Health & Safety, Compliance, Operations, and Corporate Affairs teams.
• The role requires a bachelor's or master's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, sustainability, regulatory affairs, or a related field, with 6-10years of relevant experience in environmental compliance, sustainability, and regulatory management.
• Strong knowledge of environmental laws, industry-specific regulations, and international standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is expected.
• Experience in permitting processes, hazardous waste management, water and air quality regulations, and sustainability reporting frameworks (GRI, CDP, SASB, TCFD) is highly desirable.
• You should have a proven ability to manage regulatory audits, risk assessments, and compliance programs, along with excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
