POSITION DETAILS
Position Summary
The Planning Manager will be responsible for overall leadership, coordination and communication of the planning process for Industrial & UXB segments. The role will work closely with supply chain, sales, operations, and product management for each to build a robust planning process and alignment with the SIOP, which will maximize the link between customer demand and material supply. This role will also be a mentor and leader for the planning function.
Principal Activities
- Process improvement of the planning process
- Work closely with support functions to ensure the revenue targets are achieved
- Own & improve the metrics Customer OTD & Inventory turns
- Establish capacity management process across the value chain including Engineering, SCM, Suppliers, Stores, Assembly & Testing
- Manage the schedule for production and all deliverables
- Establish and revalidate stocking program (PFEP)
- Develop and maintain the forecast and master schedule within capacity constraints, and in support of the operating plan, to achieve on-time shipments to customers
- Work with Plant Managers, Materials Managers, and Commercial Operations to pulse the master schedule and forecast to ensure the plan is tracking to the perpetual internal and external needs of market demand
- Support and expand on all opportunities to level load the plan to drive improvements in inventory, fulfillment, cycle time, capacity management and growth
- Utilize ERP system to manage material flow and work prioritization
- Review established production schedules for all manufacturing departments to insure established inventory levels are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible.
- Ensure material flow to the production line without material shortage and with appropriate inventory level
- Provide strong interface between Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial Operations to reduce all costs and cycle times to determine line rates, including 12-month planning horizons
- Mentor and develop the planning team
- All other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Knowledge Skills & Abilities
