Job Overview
Unison Globus is seeking a mid-level US Tax Preparer & Reviewer for a full-time position based in Gandhinagar. The role requires in-depth knowledge of US tax forms, hands-on experience with leading accounting software, and the ability to deliver accurate tax review and preparation services for a diverse client base.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in US Tax preparation, demonstrating depth in handling complex tax scenarios and clients (Mandatory skill).
- Extensive hands-on experience in preparing and reviewing US tax forms 1040, 1065, and 1120, ensuring compliance and accuracy (Mandatory skill).
- Direct involvement in tax review processes, including identifying errors and delivering precise corrections for optimal compliance.
- Proficiency in using US tax preparation software such as Drake, CCH, and Lacerte for efficient workflow management and accurate filing.
- Strong grasp of both State and Federal US tax laws, guidelines, and filing procedures, applied to diverse client requirements.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with keen attention to detail while handling confidential financial information professionally.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with US-based clients and team members in explaining tax return issues and findings.
- Adaptability to evolving tax regulations and policies, as well as a commitment to continued professional development in US tax accounting.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities to successfully handle multiple concurrent tax projects and priorities.
Roles and Responsibilities
Prepare and review US individual and business tax returns, including forms 1040, 1065, and 1120 ensuring accuracy and completeness.Conduct thorough quality reviews of tax returns prepared by team members, providing detailed feedback and identifying key areas for improvement.Liaise with clients and internal teams to clarify queries, obtain necessary documentation, and resolve discrepancies.Update returns according to the latest state and federal tax laws, ensuring compliance and minimizing potential audit exposure.Process and analyze client financial data using leading tax software such as Drake, CCH, and Lacerte for optimal accuracy.Collaborate with US-based accounting professionals to support seamless client relationships and high-quality tax deliverables.Assist in training junior staff by sharing expertise in US tax compliance and preparation processes.Keep up to date with regulatory changes and industry trends and implement relevant changes in the tax review process.Maintain confidentiality and data integrity for all client financial records and sensitive information throughout the engagement lifecycle.
