Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Planning to support project and operational finance activities. This role will be responsible for managing project budgets, financial forecasting, invoicing, revenue tracking, and vendor payment processes while ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and internal policies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a structured approach to financial management, and hands-on experience with tools like Zoho for vendor and subscription payments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning & Budgeting
- Prepare project budgets, cost baselines, and financial forecasts in alignment with business objectives.
- Track budget vs. actuals regularly and flag variances early with actionable insights.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to optimize cost allocation.
2. Invoicing & Revenue Management
Support the Finance team in raising invoices for client projects.Track receivables to ensure timely payments from clients.Manage vendor payments and software subscription payments using Zoho.Maintain accurate records of SOWs, WOs, MSAs, and NDAs for all projects.Track billable vs. non-billable resources to ensure accurate project costing.Oversee timesheet management for consultants and ensure timely submissions.3. Forecasting & Projections
Estimate future revenue and cost projections based on sales pipeline and current utilization.Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.Prepare periodic reports on utilization, profitability, and project financial health.Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA / CA / ICWA preferred).4–7 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, or project finance .Strong knowledge of invoicing, revenue recognition, and vendor payment processes .Proficiency in Zoho Books / Zoho Projects or similar financial / project management tools.Excellent skills in MS Excel (financial modeling, projections, variance analysis).Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Project Management teams.Show more
