We are seeking an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to join our dynamic finance team and drive strategic financial planning for our construction and real estate development operations. This role is critical to supporting Ocean Lifespaces' continued growth and profitability through comprehensive financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision support.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in construction / real estate financial planning, proven experience in managing complex financial models, and the ability to translate financial insights into actionable business strategies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Planning & Strategic Analysis
- Lead the annual budgeting process for construction projects, real estate developments, and corporate operations
- Develop comprehensive financial forecasts for residential, commercial, and industrial projects
- Create and maintain sophisticated financial models for project feasibility analysis, including NPV, IRR, and ROI calculations
- Conduct sensitivity analysis and scenario planning for various project parameters and market conditions
- Prepare long-term strategic financial plans (3-5 years) aligned with company growth objectives
Project Financial Management
Perform detailed financial analysis for construction projects from inception to completionMonitor project budgets vs. actual expenditure and provide variance analysis with actionable insightsEvaluate cost structures, resource allocation, and profitability across different project typesCollaborate with project managers to optimize project financial performance and identify cost-saving opportunitiesAssess financial risks and develop mitigation strategies for ongoing and upcoming projectsReal Estate Development Analysis
Conduct comprehensive market analysis for real estate investment opportunitiesEvaluate land acquisition proposals with detailed financial feasibility studiesAnalyze property development economics including construction costs, sales projections, and market timingMonitor cash flow patterns for residential and commercial developmentsProvide financial insights on property portfolio performance and optimization strategiesManagement Reporting & Business Partnering
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and board presentationDevelop executive dashboards with key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to construction and real estate operationsPartner with business unit leaders to provide financial guidance and support strategic decision-makingConduct profitability analysis by project type, geography, and business segmentPresent financial findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholdersProcess Improvement & Systems Management
Lead initiatives to enhance financial planning processes and improve reporting efficiencyImplement and optimize financial planning software and toolsEstablish best practices for project financial tracking and reportingEnsure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controlsDrive automation of routine financial analysis and reporting tasksREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fieldProfessional certification preferred : CA (Chartered Accountant), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CMA (Cost & Management Accountant), or equivalentMBA in Finance / Accounting is highly desirable
