Job description

We are seeking a proactive Service Engineer to be based in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, as part of the regional service team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a full-time diploma in Mechanical, Electronics, Plastics, or Mechatronics and will be responsible for providing end-to-end support to customers, from machine installation to troubleshooting and training.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Customer Support : Provide comprehensive support to customers, including machine installation, addressing breakdown calls, troubleshooting machine problems, and offering spare parts support.
  • Preventive and Corrective Actions : Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions for machine issues and ensure these actions are applied globally to all machines. You'll be responsible for troubleshooting and providing effective solutions.
  • On-site Services : Handle the installation and servicing of all machines in the assigned region. This includes conducting mold trials, assembling machines, and ensuring machines are operational at customer sites.
  • Training and Reporting : Provide training to customers on machine operations and troubleshooting. You will also be responsible for preparing and submitting a service report for each machine.
  • Part and Data Management : Submit field-returned parts to the factory for analysis and warranty cost recovery. You will also be responsible for releasing flash for parts failure and maintaining software backups, hydraulic circuits, and Bills of Material on the service portal.
  • Business Development : Generate spare parts business and develop spare parts recommendations for customers.

Skills Required

  • Education : A full-time diploma in Mechanical, Electronics, Plastics , or Mechatronics .
  • Technical Knowledge : The ability to provide end-to-end support for machine installation and troubleshooting.
  • Problem-Solving : Strong skills in developing and implementing corrective and preventive actions for machine problems.
  • Customer-Facing : Excellent communication and training skills to provide support and instruction to customers.
  • Organizational Skills : The ability to maintain accurate records, including service reports, software backups, and Bills of Material.
