Compliance Department

Our Corporate Compliance Department is looking for a Compliance Due Diligence Regional Manager in our Chennai office. You will be working in a highly diverse and fast-paced international environment with the opportunity to help shape Glencore’s compliance programme. You will have frequent interactions with Compliance colleagues across the group as well as with other departments locally and globally.

The main tasks and responsibilities include

  • Line manager and team lead for Chennai corporate KYC analysts, responsible for managing and guiding the team locally while ensuring alignment with and support for the global KYC model.
  • Act as interface between our group network of Offices and the Compliance function for KYC
  • Conduct KYC due diligence on new and existing counterparties from a Compliance perspective.
  • Proactively determine corrective actions for identified Compliance red flags, working with Corporate Compliance to develop remediation solutions
  • Contribute to KYC change management and implementation of Group-wide initiatives, including rollout of the new marketing onboarding platform and new KYC procedure.
  • Produce regular reports on key Compliance Due Diligence KPIs and share lessons learnt

  • Qualifications and requirements

  • Academic degree (or equivalent) in finance, law, or a related field
  • At least 6 +years of relevant working experience (e.g. in responsible sourcing, supply chain due diligence, compliance or KYC), Minimum 2 years of experience of people management
  • Interest in Compliance topics
  • Fluent in English (corporate language), any additional language is a benefit, but not essential
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good know-how in using IT applications (e.g. MS Office, MS PowerPoint) and other systems (e.g., screening tools, due diligence platforms, etc.)
