Position Overview :

We’re seeking a highly skilled Provider Payroll Specialist with an accounting background and formal chartering / licensure (CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent). This role will be central in ensuring Wellnite’s provider network is compensated accurately and on time, while upholding the highest standards of financial accuracy, compliance, and reporting. You will collaborate with finance, operations, and provider support to manage payroll processes, reconcile data, and build robust systems for scale.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage end-to-end payroll operations for Wellnite’s provider network.
  • Accurately calculate and process provider compensation, reimbursements, and bonuses.
  • Reconcile session data, timesheets, and billing records with accounting ledgers.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and multi-state payroll regulations.
  • Design, maintain, and optimize Google Sheets payroll models for reconciliation, error-checking, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with finance leadership to prepare monthly and quarterly accounting reports.
  • Support internal and external audits related to provider compensation.
  • Provide financial insights and process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for provider payroll-related inquiries.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or equivalent accounting license / chartering required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in payroll, accounting, or finance operations.
  • Strong accounting knowledge, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Advanced Google Sheets expertise (formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling, error tracking).
  • Experience with payroll platforms (e.g., Gusto, ADP, Deel, or equivalent).
  • Prior healthcare payroll or multi-state payroll experience preferred.
  • High attention to detail, analytical rigor, and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills and discretion when handling sensitive data.
