Role : India Sales Leader

We are seeking an India Sales Leader to spearhead growth and strengthen our presence in the Indian market. This role extends beyond client acquisition - while business development will remain a key responsibility, the mandate encompasses a broader scope : defining go-to-market strategy, forging strategic partnerships, and progressively evolving into a Country Head position as success is demonstrated.

With our exclusive Amazon DSP seat in India, we hold a strong first-mover advantage. However, this opportunity is not limited to DSP sales alone. The selected leader will play a pivotal role in positioning Datawrkz (a Nazara company) as a trusted partner across the digital marketing spectrum, including programmatic, search, social, and performance marketing solutions - thereby enabling growth for mid-market and regional brands.

The ideal candidate will be both a builder and a leader - responsible for driving revenue, opening new categories, and collaborating closely with global teams to establish Datawrkz as one of the most innovative, AI-first agencies in the region.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Business Growth & Leadership : Lead business development efforts in India, driving holistic growth across programmatic, search, social, and performance marketing solutions.
  • Full Sales Ownership : Manage the end-to-end sales cycle from lead generation and client acquisition to deal closure and long-term relationship management.
  • Strategic Partnerships : Identify, establish, and nurture partnerships that expand capabilities, strengthen market presence, and unlock new revenue streams.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy : Design and execute India-specific go-to-market strategies to position Datawrkz as a trusted digital marketing partner for mid-market and regional brands.
  • Market Development : Leverage industry networks, build strong client relationships, and open new categories to accelerate business expansion.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams (operations, strategy, delivery, and global leadership) to ensure client success and sustainable partnerships.
  • Market Intelligence : Track market trends, emerging opportunities, and competitor activity to maintain a strong competitive advantage.
  • Brand Representation : Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and forums to enhance visibility and thought leadership in the Indian market.

Skills and Experience :

  • 12-15 years of experience in sales, business development, or client leadership within the digital advertising / media industry.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a builder's approach : able to operate in ambiguity, take full ownership, and create growth opportunities from the ground up.
  • Strong industry connections and network, preferably with mid-market / regional brands.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth in digital media solutions, ideally within a large agency environment.
  • Experience in performance marketing, programmatic, or ad-tech will be a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate opportunities into long-term business growth.
  • Compensation and Benefits :
