Metal Sheet Fabricators work with sheet metal to cut form assemble and finish metal components. This includes fabricating installing repairing or maintaining parts or structures such as ducts handrails panels or custom-metal work. They use tools and machinery like presses brakes shears welding and finishing equipment often interpreting technical drawings and ensuring products meet quality safety and design specifications.

Role Overview

We are seeking skilled Metal Sheet Fabricators to work across light and heavy fabrication projects. The role involves producing metal sheet components repairing or maintaining metal structures completing jobs to design specification and ensuring high standards in safety accuracy and finishing. Fabricators may also work with pattern making machining fitting welding and using CNC or manual tools as required.

Key Responsibilities

Read interpret and work from technical drawings blueprints or CAD designs.

Cut bend fold press shear roll form and shape sheet metal as required.

Weld rivet bolt or fasten components; join or assemble metal sections or parts.

Machine fit and finish metal parts : smoothing edges polishing grinding coating or painting where required.

Use CNC machinery or manual sheet metal equipment (brakes shears presses rollers).

Inspect finished pieces for quality : dimensions finish structural integrity.

Maintain and clean tools machinery and workspace.

Follow health safety environmental procedures : proper handling of materials (sharp edges metal dust welding fumes etc.).

Requirements

Experience

Minimum of 2 years experience in metal sheet fabrication pattern making assembly or relatedmetal work.

Experience in welding fitting use of sheet-metal brakes shears CNC equipment preferred.

Skills & Attributes

Strong spatial and mechanical aptitude; comfortable with reading drawings and converting them into finished products.

Precision attention to detail (smooth edges accurate sizing consistent finishes).

Good physical strength and stamina; ability to handle sheets of metal work with heavy or sharp materials.

Good safety awareness : ability to use protective gear and follow safety protocols.

Organised good time management; able to work independently or in a team.

Working Conditions & Other Requirements

Often based in industrial workshops or fabrication shops; may also travel to site for installation or repair.

Conditions may include noise metal dust welding fumes sharp edges heat possibly working outdoors or in variable weather depending on project.

May require overtime shift work depending on demand.

Use of safety equipment (gloves eye protection ear protection welding masks etc.) required.

Should have english Certification (PTE / IELTS).

Education : Diploma or Graduation Experience : 710 years in panel beating vehicle body repair or metal fabrication. Skills & Expertise : Panel straightening dent removal and welding (MIG / TIG / Spot) Sanding filler application and finishing work Ability to read technical drawings and specifications Strong attention to quality and safety standards English Skills : IELTS overall 5.0 (no band below 4.5) or strong spoken English with readiness to take IELTS after shortlisting. Trade Certification : Must hold or obtain a TRA Trade Certificate. Attributes : Physically fit team player good communication skills safety-conscious.
