About the Role :
As an SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test), you will play a critical role in the software development lifecycle by designing and building robust automated test systems, frameworks, and tools. You’ll work side-by-side with developers to ensure product quality through automation, continuous integration, and quality gates — helping the team deliver reliable, scalable, and performant software at speed.
You will contribute to the automation strategy, drive test coverage, and ensure CI / CD integration across fast-moving DevOps environments.
What You’ll Do :
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, scripts, and data generation tools
- Implement automation across unit, functional, integration, performance, and regression testing
- Integrate automated tests into CI / CD pipelines using tools like GitLab, Jenkins, or similar
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and quality assurance planning
- Analyze test results, report defects, and work with developers to drive root cause resolution
- Drive the adoption of test automation best practices, tools, and standards
- Contribute to grooming and maintaining a reliable, efficient, and scalable test suite
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure high product quality
- Use tools like SonarQube for code coverage analysis and test quality metrics
- Ensure all tests and test data are maintained in a repeatable and automated process
- Work on virtualized test environments and integrate service virtualization as needed
What You’ll Bring :
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent hands-on experience2–4 years of experience in test automation and software engineeringProficiency in 3+ programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, JavaScript)Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Appium, Rest Assured, Postman, or similarFamiliarity with TDD, BDD, and CI / CD pipelinesExperience working in Unix, Windows, or mobile platforms (Android / iOS)Hands-on with issue-tracking and agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Rally)Experience with service virtualization tools (e.g., CA Service Virtualization)Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skillsEffective communication and collaboration in cross-functional agile teamsSolid understanding of end-to-end testing strategies, environments, and data managementMust Have Skills :
