Commodity Trader

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Commodity Trader (primarily in metals trading and hedging for both ferrous and nonferrous) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in commodity trading with complete understanding of financial instruments towards hedging of metals, with a proven ability to manage trading / hedging activities, build client / FI relationships, and generate profitable strategies aligned with risk management policy. Experience in trading metals is highly desirable and will be considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Market Analysis : Monitor and analyze commodity markets, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Trading Activities : Execute trades within assigned commodities in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Portfolio Management : Manage and optimize trading portfolios, ensuring profitability and alignment with market strategies.
• Client Relationships : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other market participants like Banks / Fis / Commodity exchanges in metal trading and have necessary expertise to ensure hedging limits / documentation.
• Risk Management : Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring stable returns through hedging instruments with both domestic and overseas commodity exchanges and banks / FI.
• Reporting : Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on market activity, trading performance, and strategic recommendations.
• Compliance : Ensure all trading activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and company standards.
