About the role

Reporting to the Field Coordinator's we are seeking  experienced Senior Field Technicians to provide mentoring, guidance and leadership to the field services team.

This permanent fly in fly out position will be based on various exploration camps throughout Australia.

Key Responsibilities

Broadly, the key responsibilities will include :

  • Pro-Active safety approach while adhering to Gold Rods values and vital behaviours
  • Displaying active infield leadership and mentoring
  • Delivering on project priorities by ensuring effective planning and coordination with a forward 1-3 month outlook
  • Active participation in planning meetings ensuring relevant information is communicated to relevant stakeholders
  • Assist the Field Coordinator in planning and managing field staff and resources to project schedules and priorities
  • Assist with camp mobilisation and demobilisation
  • Competently lead soil, AC, RC, and DDH sampling
  • Maintain stock control and ordering of field services and drilling consumables
  • Participate in onboarding suppliers
  • Supervision and coordination of all earthworks, ensuring all work is completed and to program requirements
  • Facilitate pre-shift meetings
  • Update and report on ESG and safety compliance.

About yourself

The ideal candidate will have :

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Basic computer skills
  • Positive attitude towards Safety
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Current  advanced First Aid and CPR
  • Manual driver licence
  • National police clearance
  • HR truck licence (desirable)
  • Front end loader (desirable)
