POSITION / ROLE- Assistant Manager – Insurance

LOCATION - Mumbai

DEPARTMENT - Corporate Finance

GRADE - AM

KEY DELIVERABLES

Insurance Program Management :

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive insurance programs – For Marine, Fire, Project & Other policies.
  • Float RFQ, compare, evaluate, and negotiate insurance quotes, and policy placements to ensure optimal coverage and cost-effectiveness.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation :

  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential risks, liabilities, and areas of exposure.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate identified risks.
  • Claims Management :

  • Manage insurance claims with existing and future brokers, including investigation, survey, documentation, and settlement
  • Product / Project / Marine / Travel etc.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to handle complex claims and litigation.
  • Regulatory Compliance :

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal insurance audit regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
  • Policy Administration :

  • Maintain accurate records of all insurance policies and related documentation.
  • Update insurance policies as needed to reflect changes in company operations or profile.
  • Reporting and Analysis :

  • Prepare regular MIS reports on insurance costs, claims, and risk management activities.
  • Declarations to Insurance Companies :

  • Submit monthly Stock declarations.
  • Submit monthly STOP declarations.
  • JOB DESCRIPTION

    Finance & Accounts Management :

  • Adherence to and ensuring to Insurance SOP of the Company.
  • Reconcile CD statements for insurance payments and confirmations.
  • Utilize SAP system expertise.
  • Facilitate Finance Reporting and monthly Accounts closing activities.
  • Reviewing past issues raised by Auditors (Internal & Statutory / External), GST, and resolving them and mitigating / minimizing the issues.
  • ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Post Graduate- preferably in Insurance / Risk Management
  • Minimum 2-3 years preferable from Manufacturing / Project / Insurance companies

    Head – Treasury
