Description : Role Overview :
We are looking for an experienced SAP MM Lead with strong functional expertise in S / 4HANA and extensive exposure to AMS (Application Management Services) Support.
The candidate will be responsible for leading support activities, driving process improvements, and ensuring smooth operations for global business users.
Note : The consultant must follow the customers working calendar, which includes working on Saturdays as required.
Key Responsibilities :
Leadership & Team Coordination :
- Lead SAP MM support team and ensure timely resolution of tickets.
- Monitor workload distribution, SLA compliance, and quality of deliverables.
- Act as key contact for business stakeholders, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
S / 4HANA MM Functional Expertise :
Provide expert-level functional support for S / 4HANA Materials Management.Deep understanding of P2P processes, Inventory Management, Logistics execution, and master data.Configure and troubleshoot areas such as :
Purchase Requisition, Purchase OrderGR / GI, Transfer PostingsSubcontracting, Consignment, STOInvoice Verification :
Account Determination, Pricing, TaxAMS Support & Issue Resolution :
Handle L2 / L3 tickets, perform impact analysis, root-cause diagnosis, and permanent fixes.Coordinate with cross-functional teams for integrated issues (FI, SD, PP, WM, QM).Manage and support Interfaces, IDocs, Batch Jobs, and other integration points.Change Requests & Enhancements :
Interact with business users to gather requirements.Prepare functional specifications for enhancements / WRICEF objects.Drive testing cycles : Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Regression, UAT.Ensure smooth transport movement and post-implementation support.Documentation & Governance :
Develop process documents, SOPs, KT documents, configuration guides.Ensure adherence to ITIL processesIncident, Problem & Change management.Track and report support metrics, ticket trends, and improvement opportunities.Continuous Improvement & Customer Focus :
Identify recurrent issues and drive preventive actions.Recommend process optimization, automation, and system improvements.Maintain strong business relationships and support global operations.Required Skills & Qualifications :
Technical Expertise :
Minimum 8 to 10 years of SAP MM experience with at least 2+ years in S / 4HANA.Strong exposure to AMS Support in a global environment.Solid understanding of integration with FI, SD, PP, WM, and QM.Experience with IDoc processing, batch jobs, and system monitoring.Leadership & Soft SkillsExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.Ability to manage pressure, prioritize issues, and handle escalations.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Additional Requirements :
