About the Role
We're looking for a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and validate complex analog, mixed-signal, and digital circuits for cutting-edge space applications. You'll play a key role in new product development, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability while supporting production and customer needs. A power electronics background is required, along with a no task too small mentality.
Responsibilities
Circuit Design & Development
Own schematic and PCB design, including component selection, stack-up design, routing, and fabrication.
Simulate circuit performance, assess existing designs, and optimize for space applications.
Implement designs following aerospace and industrial electrical safety standards.
Prototyping & Testing
Conduct board bring-up, system validation, and troubleshooting for prototypes and production units.
Develop and execute testing protocols to ensure compliance with safety, reliability, and performance standards.
Write technical documentation, including project logs, test reports, and design evaluations.
Manufacturing & Integration
Oversee prototype manufacturing and iterative design improvements.
Establish and document manufacturing processes for internal production and outsourcing.
Identify and evaluate potential manufacturing partners for production.
Train engineers and technicians on best practices for electrical manufacturing.
Collaboration & Support
Work closely with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration.
Act as the technical liaison with vendors and manufacturing partners.
Provide technical support during field deployment and customer operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering.
4+ years of experience designing circuits, electronic products, or hardware.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a similar engineering degree.
2+ years of electronic product experience designing hardware from concept through production; strong emphasis on full life cycle development of new hardware products and not small incremental updates to legacy hardware.
2+ years of experience designing and implementing mixed-signal circuit boards from concept through production using processors, FPGAs, Ethernet, DRAM interfaces (DDR4), I2C, SPI, UART, RS-422 / 485, operational amplifiers, analog to digital and digital to analog converters, and power supply components.
Experience in testing, troubleshooting, and debugging electronics.
Adept at soldering small components (BGA, 0402, 0603, etc.).
Strong understanding of computers and programming languages (Python, C / C++).
Expertise in circuit board design, schematic generation, and PCB layout tools (KiCad preferred).
Strong background in engineering design, testing, and validation procedures.
Experience with motor and inverter design, power supply development, image processor integration, STM32, and other ARM processor architectures.
2+ years of space industry experience.
Experience with design for radiation environments is a plus.
Additional Requirements
Willing to work extended hours and weekends when needed.
This is an on-site position only. The role is based in Bangalore, India.
