Reporting to : Finance Director
Role Objective :
To lead and manage the overall financial strategy, corporate accounting, risk management, treasury, and compliance functions of the company, ensuring financial discipline, profitability, and sustainable growth for the steel manufacturing business.
Educational Qualification :
- Chartered Accountant (CA) / MBA (Finance) from a reputed institution.
Experience :
15–20 years of total experience in Finance & Accounts, with at least 5–7 years in a leadership role.Experience in Steel / Metals / Heavy Manufacturing / Process Industry is mandatory .Key Skills & Competencies :
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.In-depth understanding of steel / manufacturing industry dynamics and cost structures.Proven experience in managing banking, treasury, and investor relations.Expertise in SAP and advanced financial modeling.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Key Responsibilities :
1. Financial Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement long-term financial strategies aligned with business goals.Partner with the leadership team to drive profitability, cost optimization, and financial sustainability.Evaluate investment opportunities, business expansion projects, and M&A initiatives.Lead annual business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.2. Financial Control & Reporting
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Ind-AS / IFRS.Oversee consolidation of group entities and subsidiaries.Present financial performance, projections, and risk analysis to the Board and senior management.3. Treasury & Working Capital Management
Manage banking relationships and ensure optimal utilization of working capital.Oversee cash flow planning, fund management, and debt servicing.Evaluate and secure financial instruments, credit facilities, and structured funding as needed.4. Cost Control & Efficiency
Drive cost reduction initiatives across procurement, production, and logistics functions.Monitor and optimize plant-level cost metrics (conversion cost, material yield, power & fuel, etc.).Implement financial discipline across all business units.5. Governance, Risk & Compliance
Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements (Companies Act, SEBI, GST, Income Tax, etc.).Oversee internal audit, risk management, and corporate governance frameworks.Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and financial institutions.6. Team Leadership & Development
Lead and mentor the Finance, Accounts, and MIS teams at corporate and plant locations.Build financial capabilities and culture of accountability across the organization.
