Job Description
- Experience in machinery such as CNC milling, HSM, EDM, Wire cut, Grinding, CMM, and Laser welding machines to manufacture mold tool components, in accordance with Work Instructions and Process Quality Instructions.
- Experience in preventative maintenance, repair of injection molds and associated dies and fixtures, tool assembly and fitting process.
- Tool management system knowledge - tooling spare part quality improvement and stock optimization.
- Mechanical Design & development of new mold tools for new products / projects.
- Design review with tool suppliers to ensure lesson learnt & design standards are implemented.
- New tool tryouts & trouble shooting.
- Good knowledge of Tool design software (MFA, Catia, ProE…)
- Tool room experience to make dies, punches as well as fixtures is desired.
- knowledge of interpretation of tool and engineering drawings, GD&T, sketches, templates, manuals, etc.
- Skilled in Mold tool supplier development, coordination & negotiations.
- Basic knowledge on quality management system, process audits, special process (IATF-16949, VDA6.3 & CQI 23)
- Basic know-how on APQP, PPAP
- Hands on experience on SPC
Qualifications
Bachelors in Engineering (Mechanical, Polymer, tool design and manufacturing)
Min. 6 years of experience in purchasing quality / quality management system. (3 years of experience in tool design & development (desired))
