Job description

Job Title : 1040 Assistant Manager

Location : Hyderabad

Experience Required : 5–8 years

Roles & Responsibilities :

  • Experience in Reviewing complex 1040 & 1041 tax returns of HighNetWorth Individuals and their Trusts & Estate Tax Returns (1041s, 706, 709 etc.).
  • Have good understanding of various foreign forms such as 8621, 926, 8865, 8886, 8938 etc
  • Determine tax service objectives, scope and methodology and actively participate in communications with client management to understand the client’s business and to identify possible tax solutions.
  • Oversee the calculation and analysis of tax strategies for clients and assist with delivering to the client.
  • Manage and review the preparation of individuals tax returns, estimates and extensions. Monitor, document and apply the tax laws for US tax return preparation / review.
  • Proficiency in CCH Axcess and Drake Software is preferred.
  • Provide both leadership (mentoring and coaching) and supervision to Tax Seniors and Staff.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute towards implementing them.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's / Master’s degree with a major in accounting and EA (US) preferred. If not a EA(US), must meet educational requirements to obtain the same upon hire).
  • 5-8yrs years of experience in handling HNI individuals.
  • Proficient in individual taxation and other forms - 1040, 1041, 990, or 709.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong organizational skills required for managing multiple client engagements.
  • Skills and Expertise :

  • Ability to work and plan effectively with minimal direction in ambiguous situations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on building high functioning teams.
  • Able to articulate / position complex / critical challenges, issues, etc.
  • The ability to priorities when working on multiple complex projects.
  • Strong influencing skills, and the confidence to question existing processes.
  • Contributing to a positive team environment by demonstrating consistent commitment and optimism towards work challenges.
