- Design and implement Android Audio framework components (Audio HAL, Policy
Manager, and Routing).
Integrate DSP-based audio processing pipelines (Dirana, Qualcomm AudioReach,NXP SAF775x, TI TAS series, etc.).
Define and maintain signal-flow architecture from source to output (Mic → DSP →Speaker / BT / USB / Projection).
Collaborate with platform teams on ACDB configuration, audio calibration, andDSP firmware loading.
Development & IntegrationCustomize Audio HAL (vendor / qcom / audio / hal) for automotive-specific routingand new use-cases.
Implement and validate A2DP, HFP, USB Audio, CarPlay, and Android Auto audioPaths
Integrate voice recognition and ECNR (Echo Cancellation & Noise Reduction)
chains for Alexa / Google Assistant.
Develop and tune audio post-processing algorithms :Volume Control, Tone Control (Bass / Treble), Loudness, Fader / Balance,SDVC (Speed Dependent Volume Control), Limiter.
Support multi-zone audio and ANC / VESS feature integration.DSP & CalibrationWork with DSP firmware and tuning teams to optimize signal processing flow.Manage ACDB / XML configuration files for device profiles and calibration data.Interface with Tuning Professional / AudioReach Graph Studio / Dirana GUI toolsfor parameter tuning.
Analyze audio latency, clipping, and distortion using tools like Audacity, REW, andMATLAB.
Debug & ValidationPerform end-to-end debugging across Audio HAL, DSP, and routing layers.Analyze logs : logcat, dmesg, AudioFlinger, and AudioPolicy traces.Use diagnostic tools such as QXDM, mandiag, and Wireshark (A2DP trace).Support system-level validation for voice call, media playback, projection, andnavigation mixing.
Collaboration & DocumentationWork with SoC vendors (Qualcomm, NXP, TI) for platform-specific fixes and featuresupport.
Document audio routing diagrams, signal flow, and calibration data handling.Collaborate closely with System, Integration, and QA teams to ensure featurereadiness and stability.
