Product one of the world largest global suppliers of spices and herbs, sourcing from all the primary growing regions and offering everything from onion, garlic and chiles to pepper, parsley and tropical spices. Provenance, taste, quality, color and texture - there's not a lot we don't know about spices and the important role their attributes play in our favourite foods.

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager who can drive the growth of our Spices business in India. The ideal candidate will develop and execute sales strategies, manage customer accounts, and coordinate with internal Mapping :

  • Mapping Spices consumption across Industries (Western Snacks, HoReCa, Indian Savouries, etc) in the Domestic market particularly in tier 2 and 3 cities.
  • Analysis of market and individual opportunities to identify and manage these from lead generation to closure.

Customer acquisition

  • Developing, delighting, acquiring, and establishing Customers through services in terms of turnaround time for samples and commercial business.
  • Analysis of market and individual opportunities to identify and manage these from lead generation to closure.
  • Achieve Sales / acquisition targets set for the identified segments.
  • Focus on Modern trade needed, and Modern trade experience will be preferred.
  • Customer dossier

  • Maintain Customer details on products, demand, time of buying and price and competition benchmarking.
  • Engaging with the Customer at regular interval to establish company's image as a top-class or preferred supplier for Spices.
  • GTM and product strategy development

  • Develop alternate sales channels for different products.
  • Communication to product team on the market developments to continuously revise plans.
  • Customer distribution to reduce risk

  • Minimize risk by developing a number of Customers to reduce the dependency on single account.
  • Key focus areas :

    1. Primary focus will be on Modern Trade Customers and all Customers based in Western India including Capital Foods, Givaudan, Amul, Balaji Wafers as Key Accounts.

    2. Mapping the Customers-New and Existing. To identify new Customers particularly in modern trade and regional food FMCG. Also 3rd Party manufacturers for National players..Haldiram's, Parle, Nestle, Bikaji etc.

    3. Mapping the Spices / Blends / Seasonings demand against identified Customers and 3P manufacturers.

    4. Scheduling and executing the weekly and monthly meetings / reviews with Customers / Internal team and communicating the actionables thereof.

    5. To initiate product development and approvals with the Customers mapped.

    6. Driving commercial closures for the products approved.

    7. Aligning on budget numbers in terms of new Customer acquisition and volume and value sales.

    8. Delivering on budget numbers.

    Soft Skills and Pre-requisites :

  • Position will be based in Mumbai.
  • Extensive travel required (8-10 days in a month)
  • Candidate should have good analytical skills
  • Smart enough to explore and tap opportunity in Sales
  • Good in communication
