AHEAD is searching for a Sr. System Engineer to be a part of our Managed Services team. Candidates are eager to learn, customer focused, an effective communicator, self-initiating and can perform most tasks without direct oversight. This position will report to and receive direction from the POD Delivery Manager
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Serve as a direct escalation resource dealing with technical events and requests needing additional resources or urgent attention
- Daily administration and support of core infrastructure systems
- Identify, analyze, and resolve problems on a variety of Operating Systems - Windows
- Perform root cause analysis for issues / provide workarounds to ensure business continuity
- Create and document application & infrastructure requirements by working with those involved in the development of IT enhancements and changes, including Business Systems staff, developers, business stakeholders, and outside consultants as needed
- Ensure that clients infrastructure is healthy, stable, documented, and configured with accepted technical best practices
- Ensure business continuity and security across all systems supporting the company IT operations
Qualifications / Technology Experience :
Minimum of 10 years of related experience in supporting Windows in an enterprise environmentExperience in Active Directory (Group Policy , AD Replication Troubleshooting , DFSR , Kerberos Authentication , Advanced Troubleshooting SkillsWindows Server Administration - (DNS , DHCP , Windows Server related advanced troubleshooting , Patching related troubleshooting )Microsoft OS or other related training and certification required (MCSA, MCSE)Strong knowledge on Azure InfrastructureEntra ID KnowledgeExperience in PowerShell and the ability to create and utilize scripts preferredStrong SCCM knowledge is requiredManaged Services or Consulting experience is a plusITILv4 certification encouragedQualifications : Soft Skills
