Job description

We are looking for a Senior Transmission Line Engineer with 6 to 12 years of experience to join our Transmission & Distribution team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in power transmission and is proficient in PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and PLS-Tower . This role requires a professional who can not only perform complex structural analysis and design but also provide technical leadership and mentorship to the design team.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Design : Perform transmission line planning, modeling, analysis, and structural design using software like PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole , and PLS-Tower . This includes structural analysis of various towers and poles, wire sag and tension analysis, and developing design criteria.
Team Leadership : Provide technical leadership and guidance to the design team. You will identify team development needs and mentor, coach, and develop team members to ensure the highest quality of work. You will also be accountable for the implementation of quality control processes.
Project Management : Plan, organize, estimate, and monitor all work activities to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget. You will create accurate project estimates and provide regular updates to the section manager.
Collaboration & Communication : Participate in regular meetings and correspond with clients to identify and resolve problems. You must be a self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively work with both internal teams and external clients.

Required Qualifications

Education : A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering.

Experience : 6 to 12 years of total experience, with a minimum of 2 years in the power transmission industry.

Technical Skills : Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Google Earth , and Arc-GIS . Familiarity with design codes and standards such as NESC, IEC, CSA , and IEEE is preferred.

Personal Attributes : You must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work effectively. A committed team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills is essential. Willingness to travel within the U.S. as needed is also required.
