About the Role

We are looking for a passionate, driven, and highly motivated Automation Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial automation, robotics, and control systems. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing automated systems for manufacturing and production environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with robotics integration, PLC programming, and mechatronic systems, coupled with strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement automation systems to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
Program and configure PLCs, human–machine interfaces, motion controllers, and industrial robots.
Integrate sensors, actuators, control systems and vision systems to ensure seamless integration.
Conduct troubleshooting, debugging, and optimisation of control systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional design teams (mechanical, electrical, software, and production) for project execution.
Perform system testing, validation, and documentation for automation projects.
Support installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automation equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
Continuously research and adopt emerging automation and robotics technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's / Master's / PhD degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Robotics, Embedded Systems, or related fields.

Minimum 5 years of hands-on industrial experience in automation / mechatronics projects.

Good understanding of mechatronic systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical control systems.

Experience in industrial sensors, actuators, pneumatics, and servo / motion control.

Proficiency in PLC programming & SCADA (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, or similar).

Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

Knowledge of safety standards (ISO, CE, IEC, OSHA) related to robotics and automation.

Willingness to learn, explore, and passion for hands-on work and automation.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup-like environment and effectively support the team.

Proactively identify and propose solutions to technical challenges.

Strong problem-solving mindset and curiosity to tinker with hardware.

Good to Have (Bonus Skills)

Knowledge of Python, C / C++, or MATLAB for PC-based control interface.

Exposure to IoT, Industry 4.0, and ROS (Robot Operating System).

Familiarity with CAD or mechanical integration workflows.

Experience in machine vision systems (Cognex, Keyence, OpenCV).

Hands-on with additive manufacturing, cobots, or mobile robots (AMRs / AGVs).
