About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Decarbonization Consultant – Renewable Energy & Simulation Specialist to join our team and drive sustainable energy solutions. The role involves conducting feasibility studies for solar, wind, and hybrid renewable energy projects, analyzing site conditions, resource availability, and grid integration potential, and evaluating the techno-economic performance of renewable systems. The consultant will be responsible for performing advanced simulations and modeling using industry tools such as PVsyst, Rhino, IES-VE, or EnergyPlus to assess system yields, optimize hybrid configurations, and develop scenario-based decarbonization pathways.
Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies for solar, wind, and hybrid renewable energy projects.
- Analyze site conditions, resource availability, and grid integration potential.
- Evaluate the techno-economic performance of renewable systems.
- Perform advanced simulations and modeling using industry tools.
- Support clients in preparing net zero carbon and renewable energy strategies.
- Contribute to carbon footprint assessments, emission reduction roadmaps, and integrated sustainability plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align renewable strategies with broader decarbonization objectives.
- Prepare clear technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for clients and stakeholders.
- Stay updated on global and regional renewable energy policies, frameworks, and incentives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's in Renewable Energy, or a related field.Additional qualifications in Sustainability, Clean Tech, or Climate Finance are an advantage.Required Skills
1-3 years of proven experience in renewable energy feasibility studies and simulation tools.Experience working with utilities, energy ministries, regulators, IPPs, and industrial decarbonization projects in the MENA region.Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate technical data into actionable strategies.A passion for decarbonization and sustainability.Preferred Skills
