Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Navi Mumbai for a Principal Electrical Building Services Engineer . The successful candidate will lead the electrical design and coordination of UK-based building services projects , ensuring compliance with British Standards, UK regulations, and sustainability frameworks such as BREEAM.

Key responsibilities include overseeing electrical building services design, managing low and high voltage systems, developing power distribution strategies, and integrating electrical systems within the broader MEP design. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across locations, including UK-based clients, architects, and contractors, ensuring seamless project delivery and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Electrical Building Services Design for UK-based commercial, residential, or mixed-use projects
• Strong knowledge of UK regulations, British Standards (BS7671, etc.), and sustainability frameworks (e.g., BREEAM)
• Proven experience with lighting design, small power, fire alarm systems, security systems , and energy-efficient electrical solutions
• Solid understanding of power distribution and low / high voltage systems
• Excellent project management , technical leadership , and team coordination skills
• Effective communicator with the ability to liaise with both local and international project stakeholders
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Professional certifications (e.g., CEng, MIET, or equivalent ) are a plus
• Prior experience in a building services consultancy environment working on UK projects is essential
