Purpose of the Position (Job Summary)

To support the procurement and inbound supply chain of thermal coal (both imported and Indian origin). Responsibilities include vendor and logistics coordination, customs clearance through CHA, documentation handling, market tracking, and ensuring timely availability of fuel at plant locations.

Key Individual Accountabilities

1. Procurement Operations :

• Assist in procurement of imported and Indian coal as per operational requirements.
• Float enquiries, collect and analyze offers, assist in negotiations, and prepare purchase orders.
• Understanding and capability to do cost calculation on useful heat value of fuel
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all procurement activities.
• Interface and close co-ordination with internal stake holders like Accounts Dept., Power Plant Dept., Stores Dept., Security Dept., Quality Assurance Dept., etc. on a regular basis for day to day affairs related to fuel procurement.
