Senior GIS Application Developer - ArcGIS

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior GIS Web Application Developer to join our dynamic team.

This role demands a seasoned professional with a strong background in developing robust, scalable, and high-performance web-based GIS applications.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in GIS development, with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and deploying complex geospatial solutions.

You will be responsible for contributing to the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to deployment and maintenance.

Your expertise in ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS JavaScript API, server-side development, and cloud deployment will be crucial in driving our GIS initiatives Web Application Development :

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive web-based GIS applications using the ArcGIS JavaScript API, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
• Develop and implement custom GIS functionalities and workflows to meet specific project requirements.
• Integrate various geospatial data sources and services into web applications.
• Implement responsive design principles for cross-platform Development and Data Management :
• Develop and maintain server-side components using Golang and Python to support GIS web applications.
• Configure and manage ArcGIS Enterprise environments, including server administration, data management, and security.
• Implement and manage GeoServer for serving geospatial data.
• Design and implement efficient data storage and retrieval strategies for geospatial data.
• Optimize geoprocessing Deployment and DevOps :
• Deploy and manage GIS applications and services on Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
• Develop and deploy Azure Functions for serverless GIS processing.
• Utilize Docker for containerization and deployment of GIS components.
• Implement and manage CI / CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for automated builds, testing, and deployments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot application performance and stability in cloud and Communication :
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including GIS analysts, data scientists, and project managers, to deliver high-quality GIS solutions.
• Participate in requirements gathering and design discussions.
• Document technical specifications, code, and deployment procedures.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users.
• Participate in code Solving and Innovation :
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to GIS applications and infrastructure.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest GIS technologies and trends.
• Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve GIS workflows and Skills and Experience :
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in GIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in GIS web application Proficiency :
• Expertise in ArcGIS Enterprise administration and development.
• Strong proficiency in ArcGIS JavaScript API development.
• Proven experience in server-side development using Golang and Python.
• Experience with GeoServer for web mapping.
• Solid understanding of relational databases and spatial databases.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform, including Azure Functions and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Docker Skills :
• Strong understanding of web development principles and technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
