Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Oracle Xstore POS Developer to join our retail technology team. This role demands deep expertise in Oracle Xstore development, enterprise system integrations, and cloud-native deployment strategies—preferably on AWS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, customizing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performing POS solutions across distributed store environments.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oracle Xstore Development & Customization
  • Design, develop, and implement custom features and enhancements in Oracle Xstore POS (Java-based)
  • Configure store-level and enterprise-level Xstore components including mobile POS and peripherals
  • Maintain and optimize Xstore configurations for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Enterprise Integrations
  • Build and maintain robust integrations with upstream / downstream systems such as ERP (e.g., Oracle Retail), CRM, Loyalty, Inventory, and Payment Gateways
  • Develop RESTful APIs and middleware services for real-time data exchange
  • Ensure secure and compliant data flows across systems using industry best practices
  • Cloud Deployment & Infrastructure
  • Lead cloud migration and deployment of Xstore applications on AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP
  • Design and implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
  • Manage containerized deployments using Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or ECS
  • DevOps & CI / CD
  • Implement CI / CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline
  • Automate build, test, and deployment workflows for Xstore components
  • Monitor and log application performance using tools like CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or Datadog
  • Behavior & Maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, and infrastructure issues in cloud-hosted environments
  • Apply patches, upgrades, and hotfixes to Xstore applications across environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Xstore POS development
  • Strong Java development skills with experience in retail POS systems
  • Proven experience integrating Xstore with enterprise systems using APIs, MQs, or ETL tools
  • Cloud experience with AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP—deployment, monitoring, and scaling
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes / ECS)
  • Experience with CI / CD tools and DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of retail store operations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills

    • Preferred Certifications (Nice to Have) :

  • Oracle Retail Xstore Certification
  • AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

    • DevOps or CI / CD tool certifications
