Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced IBM Liberty Consultant to lead and support the modernization of Java applications and the migration of legacy WebSphere Application Server (WAS) environments to IBM Liberty. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java EE, Liberty architecture, and cloud-native transformation

Assess existing Java applications running on traditional WAS and define modernization strategy.

Design and implement migration plans to move applications from WAS to IBM Liberty.

Optimize application configurations for Liberty runtime, ensuring performance and scalability.

Provide guidance on Liberty features such as dynamic configuration, lightweight runtime, and DevOps integration.

Support containerization efforts using Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or OpenShift.

Conduct performance tuning, troubleshooting, and Liberty-specific optimizations.

Document migration processes, best practices, and provide training to internal teams.

Required Skills & Experience :

7+ years of experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server and Liberty Profile.

Strong understanding of Java EE and Spring frameworks.

Proven experience in application modernization and cloud migration.

Hands-on experience with Liberty server configuration, tuning, and deployment.

Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven, etc.).

Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes / OpenShift).

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
