Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly technical SAP Advanced Payment Management (APM) Consultant with a minimum of 7+ years of hands-on experience in the S / 4HANA environment. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the end-to-end configuration, implementation, and support of the APM module.

This role requires deep technical proficiency in payment formats, media, and bank communication channels, along with the ability to perform complex root cause analysis and develop custom solutions to ensure the seamless and compliant execution of all payment processes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • APM Configuration & Development : Provide expert technical support for the SAP APM module, including the end-to-end configuration of payment formats using DME Engine (DMEE) and Payment Medium Workbench (PMW). You will also be responsible for custom development related to payment medium formats.
  • Integration & Workflows : Implement and maintain robust integrations between APM and various bank communication channels, leveraging industry-standard protocols like SWIFT. You will also design, configure, and support complex payment processing workflows and utilize enhancement techniques like BAPIs and BADIs for custom logic.
  • Technical Troubleshooting & Analysis : Troubleshoot and resolve critical incidents and service requests related to payment processing by performing deep technical root cause analysis. You will be expected to analyze application logs, system traces, and integration payloads to identify and resolve issues.
  • System Enhancements & Compliance : Lead the implementation of system enhancements related to payment management. You will also ensure regulatory compliance by configuring payment processes to meet regional standards (e.g., SEPA, ISO 20022) and support audit requirements.
  • Technical Documentation : Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for all APM configurations, custom developments, and integrated processes to ensure knowledge transfer and maintain system integrity.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • 7+ years of hands-on technical experience with the SAP APM module in an S / 4HANA environment.
  • Deep functional and technical proficiency in DME Engine (DMEE) and Payment Medium Workbench (PMW).
  • Proven experience in configuring payment methods, formats, and House Banks.
  • Strong knowledge of bank communication protocols and integration technologies.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting complex payment processing issues and performing root cause analysis.
  • A solid understanding of core SAP Finance (FI) modules, with a focus on Accounts Payable.

    • Preferred Skills :

  • Experience with SAP Multi-Bank Connectivity (MBC) or SAP Bank Communication Management (BCM).
  • Familiarity with other SAP financial modules, such as Cash Management or Treasury.
  • Knowledge of XML and related technologies for payment format customization.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like SAP BTP for integration scenarios.
  • A background in participating in on-call support for critical business functions.
  • Relevant SAP certifications (e.g., in Finance or Banking).
