Business Intelligence (BI) Developer – MSBI & Power BI

Location : Bengaluru

Experience : 6-8 years

Employment Type : Full-time

About the Role :

We are looking for a passionate and skilled MSBI + Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SQL Server, SSIS (ETL), and Power BI to design, develop, and maintain end-to-end business intelligence solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using SSIS to integrate data from multiple sources.
Create data models, dashboards, and reports in Power BI that deliver actionable insights.
Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance-tuning for large datasets.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into BI solutions.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across all reporting layers.
Support and troubleshoot existing BI solutions and optimize performance where necessary.
Stay updated on the latest BI trends, tools, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Strong hands-on experience with MSBI Stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) — primarily SSIS for ETL.

Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization and performance tuning.

Proven experience in Power BI — data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and report development.

Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and star / snowflake schema.

Ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and present insights effectively.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have :

Experience with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics).

Knowledge of Python, R, or other data manipulation tools.

Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies.
