B. About Your Role (Construction Focus)
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Tax Manager – U.S. Tax to join our growing tax team. In this leadership role, you will oversee complex tax engagements for U.S.-based construction and real estate clients, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and strategic tax planning.
This opportunity is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in U.S. tax law, construction-specific tax treatment, and multi-entity structures. You will play a pivotal role in mentoring junior staff, managing client relationships, and driving continuous improvement across our tax processes.

C. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and review preparation of U.S. federal and state tax returns (Forms 1065, 1120S, 1120) for contractors, developers, and construction entities.
- Oversee multi-state apportionment analysis, nexus studies, and compliance for entities operating across jurisdictions.
- Manage tax treatment of percentage-of-completion (POC) and completed-contract methods, including look-back calculations under IRC §460.
- Review and advise on depreciation strategies, including Section 179 and bonus depreciation for heavy equipment and fixed assets.
- Supervise preparation of K-1s, tax basis tracking, and reconciliation of book-to-tax differences.
- Provide technical guidance on IRC §199A, contractor-specific deductions, and tax credits.
- Conduct tax research and provide advisory support on entity structuring, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Collaborate with U.S. engagement teams to resolve complex tax issues and ensure alignment with client goals.
- Mentor and train associates and seniors, fostering technical development and quality control.
D. Required Qualifications & Experience
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.CPA or EA required; MST or equivalent advanced tax qualification preferred.Experience :
7–10 years of U.S. tax experience, with construction, or real estate clients.Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply U.S. tax laws to contractor-specific scenarios.Essential Technical Skills :
Strong understanding of construction entity structures : LLCs, S-corps, partnerships.Proficiency in GoSystem Tax RS, CCH Axcess, or similar tax software.In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and tax accounting principles.Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Excellent written and verbal English communication for effective collaboration with U.S.-based teams.Proven ability to manage multiple engagements, lead teams, and meet deadlines consistently.Experience working with international teams or cross-border tax engagements.Preferred but not mandatory skills or experiences :
