Job description

Ambiment is seeking a Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE Functional Consultant to work on one of our strategic engagements.

The ideal candidate will be semi-technical , with strong expertise in D365 Sales and Service functional processes , exposure to Copilot implementation, capable of working closely with delivery teams to write user stories , coordinate with the technical team, and perform initial functional testing .

This position bridges functional consulting and delivery orchestration , ensuring smooth collaboration between business stakeholders and technical implementation teams for successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into clear, testable user stories .
  • Participate in backlog grooming and sprint planning sessions to refine and prioritize work items.
  • Conduct initial functional testing and validation prior to UAT to confirm business requirements are met.
  • Configure and support core D365 Sales modules such as Lead, Opportunity, Account, Contact, Activities, and Pipeline Management.
  • Collaborate with developers and solution architects to align business needs with technical design.
  • Participate actively in Daily Standups , Sprint Reviews , and Retrospectives for continuous delivery improvement.
  • Document functional gaps, enhancements, and test cases using tools like Azure DevOps or Jira .
  • Contribute to training materials, release documentation, and go-live support deliverables.

Mandatory Skills :

  • 5-12 years of proven experience as a Dynamics 365 CRM Functional Consultant .
  • Strong understanding of D365 Sales and Service modules .
  • Ability to write and manage user stories , acceptance criteria, and test scripts.
  • Hands-on experience in CRM configuration, workflows, and data model mapping .
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with global, agile teams across delivery streams.
  • Immediate availability or ≤30 days notice period is mandatory.
  • Nice-to-Have Skills :

  • Exposure to Microsoft Copilot for Dynamics 365 and its practical use in CRM workflows.
  • Familiarity with Power Platform components (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).
  • Experience with Customer Service or Marketing modules in Dynamics 365.
  • Understanding of integration patterns and data flow mechanisms between CRM and external systems.
