About Business Unit and Role :

Then come join the BMC as Solution Engineer supporting the Demo Systems that are critical to the ongoing success of the Solutions Engineering discipline. You will work in a primary support team responsible for the efficient and effective operation of a hybrid (mixture of On-Premise and Cloud) environment. The Demo System is a 24x7 operation and as such some shift work will be required. Over time you will gain the critical skills and experience you need to become a highly valued problem solver and subject matter expert for some of the world’s biggest companies.

Requirement :

• 7+ year strong experience of Unix / Linux operating systems, including Ubuntu, CentOS, or Red Hat along with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or KVM.
• Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and services : TCP / IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.
• Knowledge of storage technologies, such as RAID, SAN, and NAS.
• Understanding of security best practices and experience in implementing security measures.
• Good understanding of Cloud Systems (AWS / Azure / GCP / Alibaba)
• Practical experience of Backup / Recovery / Disaster Recovery principals and processes.
• Awareness of automation technologies to support effective system performance and availability
• Good understanding of the concepts and practical implementation of containerized environments
• Experience with code-based repository technologies e.g. Github / BitBucket
• Understanding of DevOps working practices
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with cross-functional / geographical teams.
• Strong communication skills to effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Analyses of customer needs through research and troubleshooting.
• Collaborating with DBA Solutions Engineering & DBA Sales to design and develop demonstrations to help qualify new sales opportunities.
