Must Have Requirements :

• 3+ years of hands-on Atlassian administration experience, including server-side / back-end administration of Jira & Confluence
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) focused on infrastructure, IAM, DevOps workflows, and data operations (not just development).
• Strong Linux system administration skills, including networking, architecture, & troubleshooting.
• Experience with SQL and BigQuery, including data querying, performance optimization, and integration with GCP services.
• Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and system tasks.
• Proven ability to perform Atlassian installs, upgrades, patches, and manage environments across dev / test / prod.
• Experience provisioning and managing GCP projects, APIs, IAM roles, workspace, and security configurations.
• Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and automation tools (ex : Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc).
• Ability to troubleshoot logs, resolve incidents, and support DevOps workflows across both Atlassian and GCP environments.

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled contractor with deep hands-on experience in both Atlassian administration and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) engineering. This role requires technical depth, autonomy, and the ability to manage complex environments across both platforms. Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Administer, maintain, and optimize Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket; Bamboo is a plus), including server-side configuration, upgrades, and performance tuning.
• Perform fresh installs, patches, and environment maintenance for Atlassian applications across multiple environments.
• Manage Atlassian licenses, custom fields, automation rules, and integrations with other tools.
• Provision and manage GCP resources, including enabling APIs, configuring IAM roles, managing Workspace, and securing cloud services.
• Support DevOps workflows in GCP, including CI / CD pipeline integration and automation.
• Investigate system logs, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents across both platforms.
• Oversee data operations involving SQL and BigQuery, ensuring accurate data handling and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operation and continuous improvement of both Atlassian and GCP environments.
• Balance workload between Atlassian and GCP tasks based on project needs and priorities.
