EKS & Datadog Engineer

EKS & Datadog Engineer – Bangalore or Gurugram (Hybrid)

We are seeking a

hands-on EKS + Datadog Engineer

to join a high-performing engineering team supporting a major enterprise environment. This is a

design and development–focused

position - not operational requiring strong technical depth across Kubernetes, AWS, and Observability.

You will take ownership of end-to-end observability setup, monitoring architecture, and infrastructure-as-code delivery, collaborating closely with cross-functional cloud and DevOps teams.

Skills & Experience :

Deep experience configuring and administering

EKS clusters in AWS

Proven expertise in

Datadog

and OpenTelemetry (Collector configuration)

Strong understanding of

observability concepts , metrics, traces, and log pipelines

Hands-on experience implementing monitoring and logging solutions using AWS CloudWatch

Strong proficiency in Terraform, Helm, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Scripting skills in Shell and / or Python

Solid knowledge of distributed systems, networking, storage, and cloud architecture (AWS)

Experience designing observability pipelines for AWS services (EKS, SQS, Firehose, etc.)

Familiar with Git, GitHub Actions, and Artifact Registry for CI / CD

Skilled in maintaining technical documentation, ADRs, and runbooks

General Responsibilities :

Own all technical aspects of software design and development for assigned applications

Contribute to system and application architecture discussions

Act as a senior member within an Agile team, driving best practices, tooling, and documentation

Collaborate with product owners to prioritize features and manage technical backlogs
