The role:
Our client is seeking an energetic and hands-on Dispensary Team Leader to join their team. This is a great opportunity to join a renowned Pharmaceutical company and start/develop your career in leadership. Reporting to the Manufacturing Shift Supervisor, the Manufacturing Team Leader's role is to ensure operators are manufacturing product according to all relevant quality standards in a safe and timely manner.
Key responsibilities:
- In conjunction with the Manufacturing Supervisor manage all aspects of Manufacturing, utilising people, equipment and materials to meet or exceed the production plan as efficiently as possible, with minimal wastage of resources
- Work in all areas of Manufacturing as required with the primary responsibility being the Dispensary area
- Support the Manufacturing Shift Supervisor by supervising and training Manufacturing staff
- Be actively involved in the development of staff to create a cohesive and highly skilled team through effective training, mentoring, coaching, performance management and communication
- Monitor and inspire excellent performance of personnel and record and report on Key Performance Indicators
- Organisation of daily tasks for manufacturing team, run meetings and allocate work
- Ensure that all products are manufactured adhering to required quality standards
Key Requirements:
- Experience in leading a team
- Be a quick learner and have the ability to multitask
- Proven track record with leading safety and continuous improvement initiatives
- Possess high attention to detail
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships right across the business
- Demonstrated knowledge of GMP principles and OH&S requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Science/Engineering/Pharmacy desired
