Strong proficiency in SQL and PL / SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL). Hands-on experience with Unix / Linux environments, including shell scripting (bash / ksh). Experience in ETL development and automation using SQL scripts and Unix tools (cron, awk, Proficiency in query optimization, indexing, and database performance tuning. Familiarity with data modeling concepts, normalization, and relational design. Experience handling large-scale datasets and ensuring data integrity across systems. Working knowledge of version control tools (Git, SVN) and job scheduling tools (Autosys, Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in both SQL and Unix environments. Exposure to Python or Perl scripting for advanced automation and data handling. Experience with cloud-based databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Snowflake, or Google BigQuery). Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau). Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI / CD pipelines for SQL deployments. Understanding of database security, user access control, and audit compliance. Experience working in Agile / Scrum development environments. Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities. Attention to detail and focus on data accuracy and efficiency. Effective communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently under minimal supervision. Commitment to continuous learning and adopting emerging database technologies

Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and views to support business logic and data transformation requirements.
- Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis.
- Develop, schedule, and automate batch jobs and shell scripts in Unix / Linux environments for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
- Integrate SQL components with application systems through APIs, middleware, or scripts.
- Collaborate with application developers to design efficient database structures and troubleshoot issues.
- Perform data validation, quality checks, and reconciliation between systems.
- Support database migrations, upgrades, and backups while maintaining high data integrity
