Job Description :
You will be primarily responsible for arranging approval and execution of legal documents, liaising with multiple internal and external stakeholders, and providing assistance to the Legal & Compliance Team as required. This role will partner closely with your colleagues within the local office as well as Sydney and Singapore to support Asia Pacific's growing operations as well as service delivery to the real estate business in APAC.
Eligibility Criteria :
- Graduate degree in Law from a reputable institute (Second Upper Class honours and above)
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in legal / corporate secretarial / real estate field
- Knowledge of general legal and property terminology and principles
- Experience working with Australian entities and property transaction strongly preferred
- Familiarity with powers of attorney and section 126 and 127 of the Corporations Act Cth
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, Excel and DocuSign
Roles & Responsibilities :
Day-to-day management of document approval and execution proceduresArranging document execution electronically via DocuSignMaintaining document register and providing reportsConducting searches and enquiries via Exiger / DDIQ, ASIC, and other platformsVerifying execution of documents by external partiesMaintaining lease and other contract security register and regular audit of security held for assetsDrafting and arranging execution and registration of powers of attorneyEnsuring relevant and up-to-date content on the internal intranet (JACK)Managing relationships and accounts with legal support services providers including Dye & Durham and DDIQ (or their equivalents)Preparing and editing of legal contracts and documents based on precedent documentationReviewing supply agreements and works and consultancy agreements prior to executionEnsuring organized, clear and consistent saving, filing and scanning of all documentsAssistance in assessing work procedures, providing feedback / suggestions for improvements and implementing improvement process, where necessaryPerforming certain administration tasks pertaining to the clients or internal proceduresSpecial attributes :
