About the Role
Position : AGM / DGM – Learning & Development
The role is responsible for designing and driving strategic capability-building initiatives across the organization. Working closely with Unit HR, L&D Leads, and business stakeholders, the role centrally plans and executes learning interventions based on insights from surveys, performance reviews, and long-term priorities. The position also supports major transformation projects, including digital initiatives, ensuring the workforce remains future-ready.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Unit Heads, HR Heads, and L&D Leads to gather inputs and design suitable learning interventions.
- Use insights from surveys, performance discussions, and business plans to identify skill gaps and create targeted programs.
- Support transformation and change management initiatives by implementing capability-building plans.
- Partner with reputed institutes and external vendors to design and deliver learning programs; monitor effectiveness as per evaluation methods.
- Release the Annual Training Plan and ensure timely execution within approved budgets.
- Provide MIS updates and insights for leadership review and corrective action.
- Explore tie-ups with academic or institutional partners to strengthen learning offerings.
- Develop and launch digital learning modules, particularly for manufacturing capabilities.
- Ensure completion of mandatory learning paths for Fert and SSP units.
- Oversee administrative activities related to the CoE.
- Coordinate leadership visits and present CoE capabilities effectively.
- Implement CET / GET training cycles and ensure timely reviews and confirmations.
- Drive START Trainee Awards and encourage internal best practices.
- Collaborate with HR teams as a subject expert on capability building and talent development.
- Participate in internal and external forums to adopt best L&D practices.
- Manage vendor coordination, training calendar planning, workshop execution, and CoE operations.
Qualifications
MBA / PGDM in HR (Full-Time) and B.Tech from reputed institutions.10 to 15+ years of core experience in Learning & Development.Required Skills
Strong collaboration and communication skills.Proven ability to design and execute learning programs end-to-end.Experience supporting transformation and change-driven initiatives.Preferred Skills
Experience working with external training partners or institutes.Understanding of digital learning platforms and compliance-based learning requirements.
