Medical Billing Specialist Role

This position involves overseeing the billing process to ensure timely and accurate submission of claims, efficient processing of payments, and adherence to industry regulations.

The responsibilities include :

• Reviewing and addressing billing discrepancies, rejections, and denials
• Developing and implementing billing policies and procedures
• Collaborating with coding, compliance, and other departments for accurate coding and documentation
• Analyzing billing data and metrics for trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, finance, or a related field, as well as proven experience with billing systems, payer guidelines, and regulatory compliance. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills are necessary, along with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

A key aspect of this job is staying up-to-date with federal regulations, policy changes, and industry standards impacting medical billing practices. Familiarity with billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems is also essential.
