Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive WordPress Administrator to manage, maintain, and enhance our WordPress-based websites. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with plugin management, security best practices, and custom development. You will play a key role in ensuring our web infrastructure is secure, up-to-date, and optimized for performance and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
Plugin Management :
- Regularly update and test WordPress plugins and themes.
- Evaluate new plugins for functionality, compatibility, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve plugin conflicts or issues.
Security & Maintenance
Implement and monitor WordPress security best practices.Perform regular backups and ensure disaster recovery readiness.Monitor site performance, uptime, and vulnerabilities.Manage user roles and permissions securely.Development & Customization
Customize themes and plugins to meet business needs.Develop custom plugins or functionality as required.Collaborate with designers and content teams to implement new features.Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and mobile responsiveness.Technical Support
Provide technical support and training to internal teams.Document processes, configurations, and updates.Qualifications
Proven experience as a WordPress Administrator or Developer.Strong knowledge of WordPress core, themes, and plugins.Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.Experience with security tools like Wordfence, Sucuri, or similar.Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).Understanding of SEO principles and performance optimization.Experience with staging environments and deployment workflows.Preferred Skills
Experience with WooCommerce or other e-commerce plugins.Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and automated testing.Knowledge of REST APIs and headless WordPress setups.Experience with hosting platforms like WP Engine, Kinsta, or SiteGround.Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).WordPress or web development certifications are a plus.Skills Required
