Location : London (covering UK, Europe, Middle East & Asia as required)

We are now seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Risk Analyst to join our Risk Management team in London. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple asset classes and geographies, supporting the group’s credit and market risk functions and contributing to risk oversight across the EMEA region.

The Role

As a Risk Analyst, you will play a key part in monitoring, analysing, and reporting on credit and market risk exposure for Cantor Fitzgerald and BGC Partners in the EMEA region. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and contribute directly to risk reporting for senior management and committees.

Your responsibilities will include :

Preparing daily credit and market risk reports.
Producing risk analysis and inputs for management committee packs.
Reviewing and sending out limit breach notifications.
Conducting credit analysis of new and existing clients.
Responding to ad hoc queries on limit utilisation and counterparty requests.
Providing margin rates and monitoring margin levels, escalating issues as needed.
Supporting colleagues in the absence of risk analysts or market risk leads.
Training graduate analysts rotating through the team.
Assisting with ad hoc risk initiatives and projects.

You will regularly collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Operations, Front Office, Treasury, and Trade Support to ensure robust risk oversight.

Skills & Experience Required

Strong understanding of capital markets fundamentals, including mark-to-market and settlement processes.

Knowledge and experience of equity and fixed income products.

Advanced Excel skills; experience writing macros is advantageous.

Knowledge of balance sheets and income statements is beneficial.

Bachelor’s degree (2 : 1 minimum) in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.

Systems exposure : Microsoft Office, Bloomberg, Risk Portal, CRMS.
