Freelance Product & Technical Consultant

Assignment Details :

Our Client is a leading consulting firm and are looking to engage with a Consultant : Product & Technical Specialist.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide in-depth understanding of marine crane products, including design configurations, key components, and their sourcing structures

Analyze import v / s locally sourced marine crane components and identify areas with localization potential

Evaluate marine crane OEM strategies for market differentiation and competitive advantage (including new technology adoption)

Provide data-backed insights on product cost structures and sourcing trends

Assess trends in crane technology, automation, and energy efficiency

Skills Required :

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Marine Engineering; MTech or postgraduate degree preferred (in marine crane and related industries)

Years of experience in marine crane product engineering design / product management

Strong understanding of marine cranes specifications, industry standards

Detailed understanding of marine crane BOM and cost breakdowns, crane configurations, key components, local and global supply base

Analytical mindset with ability to assess commercial and technical considerations

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Knowledge of marine crane related certifications
