Role : Private Credit Analyst

Position Summary :
As a Private Credit Analyst, you will play a key role in underwriting, and ongoing management of private credit investments analysis. You will perform in-depth financial analyses, prepare thorough credit memoranda, and monitor portfolio companies to help drive well-informed investment decisions and safeguard portfolio performance.
Underwriting & Due Diligence
- Build detailed financial models (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) for middle market and lower middle market borrowers.
- Spread historical and projected financials and stress test assumptions.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative due diligence (industry mapping, management interviews, customer calls, ESG screens).
Credit Memo Preparation
Draft clear, data-driven investment memoranda outlining company background, industry dynamics, capital structure, covenant package, risks & mitigants, and return profile.Present recommendations to Investment Committee and respond to follow-up questions.Portfolio Monitoring
Track borrower performance versus budget, covenant compliance, liquidity, and leverage metrics on a monthly / quarterly basis.Identify early warning signals and craft action plans in partnership with portfolio managers.Maintain internal ratings, exposure limits, and watch lists.Market & Sector Research
Analyse macro trends (rates, credit spreads, M&A flows) and sector-specific drivers affecting portfolio companies.Provide thematic research for pipeline sourcing and strategy reviews.Risk Assessment & Reporting
Run scenario analyses and sensitivity tests to gauge downside risk.Support valuation marks and quarterly fair value reporting under ASC 820 / IFRS 13.Collaborate with risk, legal, and operations teams to ensure documentation and compliance.Cross Functional Collaboration
Partner with originators, legal counsel, and operations during deal execution.Liaise with third-party consultants (accounting, tax, insurance, environmental) as needed.Eligibility Criteria
Education : Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CFA / CPA candidacy a plus.MBA or CFA designation is a plusExperience : 2 - 4 years in credit analysis, leveraged finance, investment banking, or corporate banking (private credit or direct lending strongly preferred).Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills :
Advanced Excel & financial modelling (3 statement, DCF, LBO, capital structure modelling)Proficiency with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Pitchbook, or similar data platformsSolid grasp of accounting principles, debt documentation, covenants, and cash flow lending metrics (EBITDA adjustments, leverage ratios, fixed charge coverage)Analytical Rigor : Ability to synthesize complex data sets and distill actionable insights quicklyCommunication : Excellent written and verbal skills; proven track record authoring investment or credit memosCollaboration : Comfortable working in small, lean deal teams and interfacing directly with senior leadership, borrowers, and advisorsAdditional Strengths :
