SAP ABAP – RAP Developer

Location : Pune, India (Onsite)

Role Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced

Senior ABAP Developer

to focus on building modern, cloud-ready applications and extensions using the

ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)

on the SAP S / 4 HANA platform and SAP BTP. This role requires expertise in developing robust and scalable transactional services while adhering to the

Clean Core

principle.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and develop applications using

ABAP Objects

and the

ABAP RAP

framework (Managed and Unmanaged implementation).

Create and manage

ABAP Core Data Services (CDS) Views

to define data models and optimize performance on SAP HANA.

Expose RAP Business Objects as

OData V2 / V4

services for consumption by Fiori / UI5 applications.

Implement best practices for

S / 4 HANA extensibility

and ensure minimal modification to standard SAP code.

Perform code reviews, unit testing, and technical documentation.

Essential Skills :

7+years in SAP ABAP development.

Mandatory hands-on experience with

ABAP RAP .

Proficiency in

ABAP CDS Views

and

OData Service development .

Strong knowledge of

OOABAP

and performance tuning.

Familiarity with

SAP Fiori / UI5

and SAP BTP is preferred.
