About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in optimizing our contract processes, focusing on the configuration and deployment of our CLM solution (specifically Agiloft CLM knowledge is highly desirable). This role requires a blend of strong analytical skills, in-depth CLM process knowledge, and the ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation. This is a crucial role for ensuring the quality, functionality, and user adoption of our CLM platform.
Key Responsibilities
1. CLM Analysis and Functional Specification
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Legal, Sales, Finance, Procurement) to deeply understand and document current and future business processes related to Contract Lifecycle Management (from request to renewal / expiry).
- Analyze existing CLM workflows, identifying gaps and opportunities for process automation and optimization within the CLM system.
- Translate complex business requirements into detailed, unambiguous functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for Agiloft CLM configuration and development.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business users and the technical implementation team, ensuring accurate interpretation and realization of business needs.
2. Quality Assurance and Testing
Design, Create, and Maintain comprehensive Regression and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test scripts based on functional specifications and business process maps.Conduct end-to-end (E2E) Regression testing meticulously for every platform upgrade, patch, and maintenance release to ensure system stability and integrity.Execute dedicated enhancements testing for all new features and functionalities deployed in each release cycle.Log, track, and manage defects identified during testing, working with the technical team to ensure timely resolution.3. Implementation and Documentation
Work closely with the CLM technical teams (Administrators, Developers, Integrators) to ensure the accurate and timely implementation of all functional specifications and configuration changes in Agiloft CLM.Create and maintain high-quality documentation, including process maps (AS-IS and TO-BE), detailed use cases, functional design documents, configuration guides, and end-user guides / manuals.Support the development of training materials and conduct user training sessions for various stakeholder groups.4. Stakeholder Support and Change Management
Support and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, guiding business users through test execution and sign-off processes.Actively participate in and support change management activities, helping to ensure smooth adoption of new CLM features, processes, and releases across the organization.Provide post-implementation support and ongoing system expertise to address user queries and production issues.Required Qualifications and Skills
Experience : 8 to 12 years of overall professional experience, with a significant portion dedicated to Business Analysis and Quality Assurance in enterprise-level application implementations.Domain Expertise : Proven, in-depth experience as a Business Analyst within Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems.System Knowledge (Preferred) : Hands-on experience with a major CLM platform; Agiloft CLM experience is highly advantageous.Analytical Skills : Exceptional ability to analyze complex business processes, document requirements accurately, and think critically to solve problems.Technical Aptitude : Understanding of system configuration, data models, integration points, and software development lifecycles (SDLC) / Agile methodology.Testing Proficiency : Strong background in test case creation, E2E testing, regression testing, and UAT coordination.Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical details to a non-technical audience and vice-versa.Documentation : High proficiency in creating professional-grade process maps, functional specifications, and user documentation.Soft Skills : Self-motivated, proactive, able to work independently in a remote environment, and a strong team player with excellent organizational skills.(ref : iimjobs.com)
