AI Engineer - Conversational AI & Application Development

Position Overview

Role Summary

As an AI Engineer specializing in Conversational AI & Application Development, you will build sophisticated multi-agent systems that power intelligent interactions. You'll collaborate across teams to create user-centric AI solutions, ensuring seamless integration, high performance, and observability. Hands-on experience with agentic systems and frameworks is essential, as you'll contribute to the full software development lifecycle in a fast-paced, healthcare-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build multi-agent conversational systems using frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, ADK, or similar tools.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define user journeys, agent capabilities, and integration points.
• Develop robust, scalable backend services and APIs using Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django), Java (Spring Boot), Node.js (Express, NestJS), or Go (Gin, Fiber).
• Implement advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and LLM fine-tuning for intent recognition, entity extraction, and dynamic dialogue management.
• Deploy and manage conversational workloads on GCP services like Cloud Run (serverless) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), adhering to DevOps best practices and IAM for secure access.
• Utilize BigQuery for large-scale data analytics to train, evaluate, and refine ML models and conversational metrics.
• Create interactive dashboards in Power BI or Tableau to visualize KPIs, model performance, and business insights.
• Integrate AI agents with enterprise systems (e.g., databases, CRMs, ERPs) and third-party APIs.
• Establish observability, evaluation, and monitoring for agent performance (e.g., latency, accuracy, hallucination rates) using tools like Arize Phoenix, Langfuse, and LangSmith.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and architecture to coding, testing, CI / CD, deployment, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to maintain high availability and optimal performance.
• Document technical designs, decisions, and model specifications for cross-functional teams.
