Senior Project Manager - Advanced Metering Infrastructure

A highly skilled Project Manager is sought to lead initiatives focusing on Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI). This role demands a proven track record within utility domain projects, with a strong emphasis on managing complex AMI implementations. The ideal candidate will excel in communication, customer engagement, team leadership, and meticulous project oversight, ensuring the successful delivery of projects while maintaining high standards of quality and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Project planning capabilities are crucial for making feasible plans that achieve project goals and objectives. This includes defining project scope, determining available resources, estimating time and financial commitment, and establishing methods to monitor and report on project progress.
  • Resource identification and team leadership skills are essential for assembling and leading project teams, which involves identifying skilled and experienced workers, assigning tasks and deadlines, providing collaboration tools, and tracking progress.
  • Time management expertise is required to work towards meeting project deadlines, defining, scheduling, and accurately estimating task durations to develop and maintain a realistic schedule.
  • Budget management proficiency is critical for determining realistic project funding, securing acceptance, and keeping project expenses within budget limits. This involves accurate estimation, monitoring actual spend versus planned budget, and adjusting as needed.
  • Quality assurance and stakeholder satisfaction focus are vital to deliver expected or superior outcomes to stakeholders and ensure their satisfaction. This includes constant communication, progress reporting, and openness to feedback to foster long-term relationships.
  • Issue and risk management abilities are necessary to effectively resolve problems that may arise to prevent project derailment. This also includes foreseeing potential risks, developing contingency plans, and preparing actions should risks materialize.
  • Progress monitoring and adaptation skills are essential to continuously measure project progress against the plan, collecting data from team status reports to assess alignment with initial plans, and adjusting or reallocating resources as necessary to accommodate changes.
  • Detailed reporting and documentation skills are required to provide stakeholders with detailed information on project progress. This also involves collecting, obtaining sign-off, and archiving all project documentation and paperwork, creating a historical record for future reference.

Technical Skill Requirements :

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) are mandatory.

  • Education :

  • A Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Bachelor of Technology (BTech), or Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree is required.
